The long-experienced team combined to the Bulk carrier fleet operated, ensures reliable and smooth performance of all voyages. Major and minor commodities like iron ore, grain, coal, fertilizers, minerals, alumina, and cement, are some of the main cargoes loaded on our vessels.

In RS Shipping we operate a wide range of bulk carrier vessels (from Coasters to Supramaxes) to transport major bulk commodities (like iron ore, coal, grain, soybean, bauxite, etc.)

Minor bulk commodities

Minor dry bulk commodities constitute a significant part of our transportation services as well. Commodities like fertilisers, bauxite, alumina, pet coke, salt, cement, sugar, agribulks, nickel ore, and scrap, they all have their own set of particularities and requirements that need to be met in order to be transported efficiently.

Major commodities occupy 3/5 of the global dry bulk trade. In the chart below, the course of major vs minor and their yearly growth rate since 2011, is illustrated. From 2011 – 2018 major commodities have shown a 35% increase and the trend shows that by the end of 2020 they will reach a 40% increase. Similarly, the minor commodities present a 21% increase, and by the end of 2020, it will become a 26%.
